Favourite Prince’s Songs

So many classic songs have been written about the subject of love. It could be argued that up to 95 percent of all songs are about this very topic. The question remains, why are most songs about love? Why can’t they be about something else? The answer is not difficult to find: love is such a universal theme, not to mention emotion, and there is not one person in the world that doesn’t crave it in their lives. Everyone is touched by love at different moments and in distinct ways. It’s no surprise so many songs have been written about it.

The mistake people make with their sauce is not letting it simmer long enough. No rush here with my sauce or my life. It might be a relationship, a dream, a book I’m writing–whatever it is, I don’t need to hurry the deadline or run fast to some future. Instead I sit tight simmer and let everything come together in soundtrack lyrics the right time.

11. “Man in the Mirror” by Michael Jackson is one of Jackson’s most critically-acclaimed songs that hit number one and was re-released in the UK after his death.

But by and large, we hear more about all the good things music is good for, e.g. its therapeutic qualities. Many hospitals now across the country use music therapy to help “motivate” the healing process in their patients – case in point, the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. They use music as part of their cardiovascular surgery healing program to “promote relaxation and reduce tension, stress and anxiety.” They find that music helps these patients to relax as it decreases their pain, improves their moods and helps them to sleep better, especially during the recovery period. Now that’s what I’m talking about!

Read your emails — ingoing and outgoing. I once took a challenge to find the journaling for my scrapbook page in my email in-box. What a light bulb moment! I realized that the messages I was receiving and sending were small pieces of my everyday life. I found enough material for several pages — and inspiration for several more layouts I wanted to create in the future.

For those of you who have never really taken the time to explore this band I hope this list provides you with a great starting point. But remember this list only scratches the surface and with four studio albums there are plenty more where they came from.
